V-Block is a instrument used in standard Room or at inspection.V Block is used for the centricity of cylindrical part.The magnet is kept inside v block to hold instrument when it is in ON position.
V Block is used to check paralleliesm flatness of the parts.
Calibration of V Block
During Calibration We use Test Mandrel and a comparator like puppy dial/Dial indicator lever type.
The parameter of v Block are during calibration which we check for error are:
1. Paralleliesm of V to base.
2. Paralleliesm of V to side faces.
3. Symmetry of V.
4. Perpendicularity of V block front face to reference face.
5. Perpendicularity of V block side face to reference face.
Indian standard used of V block is 2949:1992.
